Here is another "catching up" layout I did to capture the moment of my son's birth. Yup, I know - he will be seven in October! Honestly, I am glad I waited because there is so much more I know now about scrapbooking and paper crafting as a whole. Maybe that's why this is called Wholy Craft?
There were quite a few photos I wanted to use on this layout but I also wanted to keep it down to one page. Therefor at the bottom I made a collage of sorts and included photos of my mom and sister who were in the delivery room as well as several pictures of Hayden. The large picture on top is of the first time I got to hold my little boy in my arms. At the time I felt I couldn't even take care of myself, how I am suppose to take care of a baby? Is it me or does it feel like a giraffe just enters the delivery room? How life can change so fast in just an instant? Well, as I mentioned above, he will be seven soon and he still has all his fingers and toes!

I Miss Scrapbooking!
I really do!
This inspired my first scrapbook layout in years because I also miss being pregnant (something I will only get to experience once in my lifetime). I am going to take a few hours over the weekend and start a new album featuring some of my most cherished moments. I want to remember what it feels like to scrapbook memories for no other reason than to keep them close and share them with the ones I love.
All that a scrapbook page can ever be is a small moment in time. A little piece of life. It can never tell the whole story. Looking back at my first albums reminds me not only of the memories I wanted to keep, but also of the almost overwhelming feeling of love for my family that this hobby has always brought me back to. For the first time in a long time I am reminded that the best part of my job with POPBY.COM is and will always be those hours creating something for someone special.
I am feeling thankful today. Thankful and inspired. That is all I really want right now.
Seasons are changing. Life keeps moving. This feels like a really great place to be.
